The Mango Inn is pleased and honored to have hosted visitors from the "Museum of Lifestyle and Fashion History" this morning. We enjoyed meeting many new friends and hopefully future guests, and they enjoyed a sampling of our signature Mango Stuffed French Toast while listening to an interesting history of our historic Inn and our wonderful Parrot Cove neighborhood. Lori, the very knowledgable tour guide knows more about the history of the Mango than anyone I have every met. For all the lovely ladies who asked, the simple recipe for our Mango Stuffed French Toast follows:
Any bread (we use Pepperidge Farm Cinnamon Bread)
Cream cheese (softened)
Stewed Mangos
Egg/Milk/Vanilla/ Cinnamon mixture for dipping bread
*****************************************
Make a cream cheese sandwich with two slices of bread, cut in half.
Dip into the egg mixture and place in hot fry pan with melted butter,
cook until golden brown.
To stew the fruit we just peel slice and cook the mango in a saucepan, we don't find it to need any sweetening, but you could make this with any fruit and others such as blueberries may require some sugar be added. Spoon over the top of the cooked French Toast and serve. Elegant but easy.

Mango Inn in the news
Inn-style
Area B&B’s invite you to be their guest
Mango Inn, Lake Worth
By Mary Thurwachter
There’s a doctor and two nurses calling the shots at The Mango Inn, but don’t let that mislead you. This casually elegant 10-room B&B housed in three structures built between 1915 and 1920 bears not a stitch of resemblance to a hospital. Within walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants, the inn has artfully decorated rooms, lush tropical gardens and a pool (breakfast — both nutritious and yummy — is typically served on the veranda beside it). The beach is just a 15-minute stroll away!
Siblings Judi Flynn and Debbie Null are nurses, and Debbie’s husband, Bill Null, is an orthopedic surgeon. Judi, whose ex-husband is a surgeon, and Debbie say both have done a lot of entertaining, so the transition to running a B&B seemed a good idea. After a getaway here, your guests are sure to feel rested and recharged from the surroundings and all the TLC. Come to think of it, you just may want to join them, if only for mango margaritas by the pool! Room rates start at $155 per night. 128 N. Lakeside Drive, Lake Worth. (561) 533-6900. www.mangoinn.com.
